(5 out of 5 stars)

"Music fans in Louisville are so spoiled - we can see Tim Krekel and the great musicians who play with him "all the time". Each performance makes for a memorable night. After midnight, in a crowded bar, the Tim Krekel Orchestra moves people to sway and dance, whoop and cheer, play air guitar and sing along. It alters our brainwaves. Sometimes we just shake our heads and talk about how lucky we are to have this band - a collection of top-notch musicians who can (and have) play with anyone - here in Louisville.

Waiting for Soul Season to come out, I was a little afraid it wouldn't be able to move me the way that live experience always does, but I'm happy to report that it comes really close. If the Tim Krekel Orchestra plays anywhere near where you live, you need to get out there and feel it yourself, but if you can't, Soul Season is the next best thing. It makes a big happy sound, guitars and keyboards ringing, horns soaring, Tim Krekel's melodies and hooks with lyrics that you cannot resist singing. Eleven songs, every one a winner, full of soul, lust and love.

Turn it up loud; you'll play it over and over. And remember, it's okay to dance in your car.
