"This album is an outstanding collection of songs by a gifted singer and songwriter. The songs are distinctive and engaging, and convey the artist's passions and perspective well. The songs range from uplifting to poignant, and all are sophisticated and thought-provoking -- as well as entertaining!



Kitty Middleton is probably my favorite track. That song alone is worth the price of the album. This ballad is a unique blend of optimism and pathos, and conveys the spirit of the times (the 1950s) well. The instrumentation in this song and its first cousin, The Shore, are fantastic. The blend of guitar and mandolin is extremely entertaining and effective.



Brown is a truly gifted artist, and this album belongs in the collection of anyone who likes intelligent and engaging music.
