Synopsis

Album Description

The overall sound resembles a Pete Yorn-meets-Keane sort of style. The music blends subtle hints of pop with Brit-rock stylings of bands like Coldplay and Travis. The vocals are a bit rootsy and completely natural. Twelve tracks of pure brilliance comprise Brantley's first full-length album Bon Voyage, a sort of send-off to his old self and old life. It's a mellow yet upbeat record that delivers a stripped-down but still well-produced compilation of songs.

The overall sound resembles a Pete-Yorn-meets-Keane sort of style. The music blends subtle hints of pop with Brit-rock stylings of bands like Coldplay and Travis. The vocals are a bit rootsy and completely natural.

Overall Bon Voyage is simply an excellent CD. The songs range in diversity from the slow, emotional ballads to the rockin' pop songs heard on the radio. This CD has earned itself a permanent place in my car CD player for sure."
