Synopsis

Album Description
The 1847 Ferris organ roars and gently sings the music of two eras vividly and passionately. Hear the sounds of the largest surviving American pipe organ from before 1850 played by a musician whose performances are both passionate and historically informed. The Round Lake Ferris organ is a unique instrument, incorporating elements of the early Romantic era as well as the previous "classic" era of organ building, and this recording contains pieces from both eras. It is packaged with beautiful full color photos of the organ and auditorium, and is vividly and warmly recorded.
