This Is The Kit is the beloved musical project of Kate Stables, born in England, based in Paris, and known in indie rock circles as a protege of The National's Aaron Dessner. (They opened The National's fall 2013 tour of the UK/Europe and Dessner is slated to produce This is the Kit's new album.) Kate plays guitar, banjo, trumpet and percussion while a cast of carefully chosen friends deliver strums, plucks, hushed horns and electronic textures that sit beneath her easy, earnest lilt. Long time collaborator Jesse Vernon produced the album and contributes guitars, violin and percussion.
