Synopsis

Product Description
For fans of The Foo Fighters, Death Cab for Cutie, Third Eye Blind, and No Knife. The Floral War (June Records) is the debut full-length album by Seattle artist Westin Glass, under the name The Reformation. To survive the relentless rain and darkness of a Seattle winter, he retreated to a basement practice space and recorded nine songs, playing almost all the instruments himself. As winter turned into spring, a few of his local friends contributed performances, completing the album. Drawing on influences ranging from late-90 s post-punk to shameless alternative radio hits, The Floral War is a tightly focused guitar- and drum-driven pop album. It encompasses a wide range of moods, from early-summer rock anthems ( Give All Your Love To Me -track 3) to introspective forays into late-fall darkness ( Yellowville -track 7).
