Synopsis

Product Description
No bones about it, The Pharcyde is one of the most innovative groups in the storied history of Hip Hop. In addition to dropping classic albums during the 90s, they took the time and effort to assemble some of the most creative remixes and B-sides of anyone in the game. Unlike most acts, they actually went the extra mile, because in part they loved making music. We?re talking about re-recording vocals (even singing some them) and reworking entire beats. No throw away, pick up and dust off bulls**t here. Traffic Entertainment has compiled these cuts for ?Sold My Soul?, the collection of Pharcyde remixes and rarities. Many of these songs have never before appeared on CD. This album features multiple remixes of all the hits and more with some tracks so rare they were previously available only on 12? singles in foreign territories. Producers include big dogs such as Jay Dee, Kenny Dope, Da Beatminerz, J-Swift, Matt Dike, L.A. Jay, and Mike Caren. This double disc collection has 25 tracks of incredible and seldom heard Pharcyde material packaged with classic era images from 1995 photo shoot by Ricardo Martin. And at this price point you won?t have to sell your soul to pick it up.

"Tight as hell, The Pharcyde one of the best hip hop groups period no question, fell apart after their second LP Labcabincalifornia. I thought they would just be another one of the hip hop greats that fell off mid 90s and left us to think about what could have been (KMD, Digable Planets) Finally though something fresh, this 2 cd set has tons of remixes from both Bizarre Ride II and Labcabincalifornia, and a couple new tracks. Everything on here is solid especially the remixes of "She Said", " Runnin'", and "Drop". Its great to here some fresh Pharcyde, they're one of the greats, pick this up and just nod your head to some of the greats. While you're at it grab Bizarre Ride II and Labcabincalifornia.

"I was high like the vocal tone of my nigga Bootie Brown""
