27 Minutes of Pure Bliss

"The first release by the National Lights leaves you wanting more, but never feeling cheated. There isn't a wasted note on this album. The Dead Will Walk, Dear accomplishes in 27 minutes what most bands can't do in 40, which is grab you and hold you for an entire album, possessing you to hit play again as soon as it finishes. Envoking the more somber songwriting moments of acts like Iron & Wine and Whiskeytown, the National Lights strikes the perfect balance in orchestrating their songs. The addition of the stunning guest vocals of Sonya Cotton is the perfect finishing touch to 10 amazing songs. There's no point in listing the best songs because The Dead Will Walk, Dear doesn't let up one bit from beginning to end.
The Dead Will Walk, Dear has a guaranteed place atop my favorite albums of 2007."
