Robert Landham, alto saxophone and his brother, Byron, drums, are well-established in the Philadelphia jazz scene. Robert studied at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and learned from John Coltrane's mentor, Dennis Sandole. Byron began playing the drums at age seven and was mentored by Shirley Scott. His work is influenced by jazz artists including Mickey Roker, Bobby Durham and Butch Ballard. In 1998, the brothers recorded The Landham Brothers: At Last, which was released on the Straight Street label.
