Synopsis

Product Description
With this reissue, we complete our rollicking journey through the Del-Lords album catalog, and, just like on our previous releases, frontman Scott Kempner contributes notes and bonus tracks! This 1990 album was probably their most ambitious if not their most successful part of this band s charm was its no-frills sound but there are many a great tune among Touch One Heart ; You and I ; I Need Lov e; Love on Fire ; About You ; Learn to Let Go ; Stand in Your Light ; Kiss Away ; Hellbent ; Rockabye ; Stay with Me ; The Wild Boys , and A Lifetime of Trouble . We ve also taken three tracks, Jumpin in the Night ; I Play the Drums , and Tallahassee Lassie , from their 1989 live record Howlin at the Halloween Moon , and added a pair of unreleased tracks, a 1984 live performance of Life s Gettin Better All the Time and a version of Simon & Garfunkel s The Sounds of Silence done Del-Lords style (gotta hear that)! Great American roots rock, exclusively from our American Beat label!

Calling all Roots Rock Lovers
Anthony Hammick | Herefordshire, U.K. | 01/12/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Somehow I missed the Del-Lords the first time around. I can't believe it! They're one of the greatest rock bands of all time - not just 'another good rock band', but one that combines real old time roots rock 'n' roll feel (i.e. they roll and swing as well as rock) with a great pop sensibility and top-notch songs. It all still sounds relevant today, and roots rock fans will love 'em! If you're not familiar with them, you NEED to hear them. Check out this and their other 3 re-released albums, all of which have only recently (late 2009) been issued on CD for the first time.
