CD Reviews

Five Stars Isn't Enough For This Infinitely Heavenly Star!

"If there is a God we may all suffer the punishment for the neglect of this fantastic vocalist-musician. My husband who is a professional musician discovered her and we can't listen to her thick, rich, creamy, acrobatic voice without tears. I am only grateful that I have found her and hopefully her other records will be re-released for our pleasure. God Bless Suzi Reynolds for bringing Teri Thornton to our attention!"
Deserves more than 5 stars!

"The other reviews that have already been submitted speak for themselves. Ms. Thornton was a superb singer, and this CD is one prime example of her talent."

"...while listening to the track "I'll be easy to find." I first read about Ms. Thornton in Los Angeles Times and had to buy the CD. When Ms. Thornton sings about pain and loss, you believe her. It's not romance that she sings about but of love in its all deep, dark and painful glory. The maturity of her voice and the range of emotions seeped in her singing make this album a terrific one. It's not a mellow jazz music, mind you, for this one grabs your attention and makes you listen to her every note. My favorite ones are "I'll be easy to find" and "Knee deep in the blues" and of course, the live version of "Salty mama." Ms. Thornton's vocal power in "Salty mama" is absolutely astounding given that she was already in her sixties when she recorded the song. How I wish I had been at one of her concerts!! It's a tragic shame that Ms. Thornton did not receive the accolades and recognition she so richly deserved before she passed away but in us who love her music, she'll continue to thrive and live on."
