Stich-Randall Radio Gems

"As a long time fan of Ms. Stich-Randall, I anxiously await any release of her music. This disc of radio performances is a gem. The singing is beautiful and made during the prime of her career. The disc includes arias with which Ms.S-R is normally associated, such as Strauss and Mozart arias. It also includes arias she is not associated with, such as Verdi and Puccini. She performs them all with her usual clarity, grace, and beauty. The sound on this disc is clean, clear, and fine sounding mono. The conducting and orchestral playing might not be the best, but it is never less than adequate. I don't need to remind anyone that the disc is about Ms.S-R, not the ORF or the various house conductors. The length of the disc is also adequate with 65 minutes of music. As a fan, I wish there was more music, but I won't complain. In sum, Teresa S-R fans will be in heaven with this disc. For those not familiar with her singing, give it a try. I promise you won't be diasppointed."
