CD ReviewsA fiery date Gazzelloni | Cincinnati, OH USA | 06/19/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "It is unfortunate that there haven't been more reissues of Ted Curson's earlier work to late, though "Plays Fire Down Below" is as good of place as any to start regarding his work. Curson always had a flexible style, and this album for Prestige is one of his favorite albums recorded as leader. A great album for the hard bop fan.
