CD Reviews

Great sounds

"This music was unknown to me only months ago.Now it is something to go through a day without Syd. It struck a strong chord inside (pun intended)as I delved farther into his world. It takes awhile to love all his music, but even the tunes I forgave him for writing are my favorites today.

Opel is a great tune in itself, and the differant takes of other material I already own are always illuminating in SOME way!BARRETTMANIA 4 EVER!"
Syd couldn't Bear-it

"I'm nearing sixty myself so I easily remember the crazy 1960's

Schizophrenic psychedelics!! Defined as a little LSD mixed together with creative genius which sits quite nicely upon the shoulders of madness!! All this Allowed Syd to see what most of us boring normals could not. Syd was in touch with what the rest of us could not possibly imagine or envision!! His musical integrity traveled with equal ease through darkness and light with whimsical twists of child like endeavor-Brilliant but troubled yes indeed!! Hence "CRAZY DIAMOND"!! Syd was constantly struggling with his own inner escape but alas could not" THE WALL" "Opel" speaks to all of this and more, his troubled musical genius will be felt for generations to come
