CD Reviews

Way ahead of their time

"I was an illtet fan, more like freak. It was a shame these guys were'nt a little more likable as people, or they would have gone far. Booted from tours, fought with everyone,..drugs. These guys were forefronting the next step of rock ,merging samples and industrial sounds before anyone had even heard of NIN. Live, these guys were amazing. I saw them a trillion times. The singer played an electric violin, the guitar player was awesome, the bass player was as good if not better than Flea, and the drummer, we won't even go into how off the hook he was. Then there was the sample guy who triggered noises and beat on percussive elements the whole gig. Mind Blowing. This record is the only testament to this ground breaking band..oh and your Rage Against The Machine, look here for who's their daddy. Politically charged as they come. This record is stillup there on my list of greats."

"I got this CD from a total stranger who worked for Water Music while riding the Amtrak to NYC many years ago. These guys were doing rap/metal/funk before anyone had heard of it. I know they split up and did some solo stuff. I'm amazed they're listed here on Amazon! Was a time they were not! This is a GREAT CD!"
Very good band that no one has ever heard of...

"A really good band that no one has ever heard of. I could find very little on the internet. This is their only album. They played Lollapalooza '92 with Pearl Jam, Metallica, Ministry and the Peppers (I think I was there) and they played on the '97 tour under the name Illness. The guitarist has played with Herbie Hancock and Maceo Parker. That's it. But for 1 penny you can't go wrong!"
