"A fine CD by a fine band. I own several of their earlier releases and have had the pleasure of seeing them live. Their combination of instrumental and vocal material is excellent. I am not a surf fanatic but these guys got it ! R n R played right. FYI - some of my other faves are:MC5, Damned, Link Wray, Mudhoney, Jerry Lee Lewis"

"Being a Portlander, Surf Trio is a band I have known and loved for years. They put out some vinyl sides in the 80's that were a lot of fun but definitely had that "local independent" feel. That all changed in the mid 90's when they started putting out a string of excellent, high quality punk / surf rockers that culminate in Forbidden Sounds. Check out "Little Death Coupe" and "Surfin' with the Mountain King" (Edvard Grieg breaks out his long board for some icy fjord action, daddy-o!). Pete Weinberger is a monster guitarist and Jeff "Punk Rock" Martin is a powerhouse. Can't recommend this enough, this is the best of the best. Hey Jeff, when will Monster Beach make it to CD?"

"Buy several copies of this incredible GODLIKE MASTERPIECE and destroy the rest of your record / CD collection. You don't need anything else. My friend actually CLAWED HIS OWN FACE OFF in MUSICAL ECSTASY after hearing just one tune from this CD.

Ron Kleim is the master of the universe and his music transends normal human creativity. Be blessed ; sell all your belongings (except your CD player) and use the cash to buy as many copies of this MASTERPIECE OF GENIUS that you can find!!!!!!!!!!!"
