CD ReviewsThe Suffolk Explosion Lizzi B | England | 04/28/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD is a fantastic example of what unsigned British bands can offer to the music scene. Most tracks on the album are new releases and those that aren't are re-mastered or alternative versions, giving everyone something new to listen to. With bands such as Fightstar, Brigade, Prego, Laruso, My Rocket 88, Aereogramme, the Ordinance and Brunswick to name a few of my favourites featuring, it is obvious this album is going to be amazing and you're not disappointed. The album takes the listener on a musical journey, allowing time to take in the joys of each song before whisking them off to another place visited by a different band. The bands may be different in styles, but the result of their music being put onto one CD all together is fantastic, allowing each band to show off thier talents, whilst complimenting each other. Brigade and Prego both have to tracks on the CD, each one showing their talents as both songwriters and musicians, and Charlie Simpson not only has a Fightstar track at the beginning but also a solo song at the end, a soft and heartfelt piece, Charlie's vocals complimented perfectly by the string arrangement If this CD doesn't get the industry to take notice of what Suffolk has to offer I don't know what will. The late John Peel would have been proud and impressed by this effort, and it's all from his home county."
