"Get a good glass of wine, and put this one on! Slow, intimate songs with original delivery, writing style, reminiscent to me of Nick Drake but a wee bit spookier. This is a thinking person's romance album because the 'hook' in the songs are their honesty and maturity, not in superfluous melodies and overproduction. Romantic songs are usually too corny for me to listen to, but like with some Lou Reed, there's a cocky, arty urban sophistication here, unusual viewpoint, and just a different vibe from the attitude in most rock oriented stuff available. It's really cool!"

"This is so much like a lost Velvet Underground recording. I discovered this at mp3.com, bought a copy, and I've played it for a few friends who have each mentioned that Velvets connection, which is pretty astonishing. That's tough competition for not a very big name artist, as none of us heard of him before, but maybe he won't be 'not very big' for long!"
