CD Reviews

"Enhance Your Romance"
Debbie Knight | st. Louis, MO | 01/29/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Last Saturday night ..., I saw Steve March Torme, live in concert at the Sheldon Hall (St. Louis, MO) for the 2nd time of my very lucky life! And he just gets better each time!! He sang cuts from his new album (& some from the first, Swingin' at the Blue Moon Bar & Grille) & his voice just melted my soul away! He & his partner/pianist, Steve Rawlins, co-wrote much of the music. A very talented endeavor! The Night I Fell for You is a definite knockout!!!"
Torme Legacy Lives In SMT

"The bad news: Mel Torme is gone and there will be no more recordings of his glorious voice and intelligent style. The good news: His son, Steve March Torme has learned well and brings his own skill to the Torme style to continue the great singing tradition! I have met Steve and he is not only a gifted, sensitive, and most polished vocalist and performer, but also a warm, nice person. His on-stage persona is mesmerizing. This CD is chock full of fresh ideas, exciting singing, and a singer who fills his work with care and quality. You will enjoy it...do yourself a favor and add it to your collection. And make sure to go and see Steve when he comes to your town!"
The Night I Fell For The Music of Steve March Tormé
Clinton Desveaux | 03/27/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Where the first album Swingin' at Blue Moon Bar and Grille wanted to punch like a heavy weight champion with a loud brash glorious sound of a big band, this 2nd album of Steve March Tormé shows off his more tender side.

The goal here is showcase that Tormé can write his own songs and make them into future standards like Harry Connick jr. Well the goal has been made and it is delivered with the subtle grace of an NHL goal scoring superstar like Mario Lemieux.

This album is a wonderful solid effort from start to end and one gets the feeling that Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and yes Mel Tormé are listening to this album somewhere wondering why they didn't write these songs!

A lush album that rates a 5 out of 5 stars!"
