CD Reviews

This is a Steve Hackett Fan's Box Set

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This package includes 14 live CDs plus an exclusive DVD. The CDs in this package include: Hammersmith Odeon, London 1979 (2 CDs), Newcastle City Hall, Newcastle 1979 (1 CD), Castle Sant'angelo, Rome 1981 (1 CD), Queen's Hall, Edingburgh 1983 (1 CD), The Grand Theatre, London 1993 (1 CD), NEARFEST: Patriot Theater, Trenton USA 2002 (2 CDs), "To Watch The Storms" tour 2003 (2 CDs), Petofi Csarnok, Budapest 2004 (2 CDs), and Queen Elizabeth Hall, London 2005 (2 CDs). The DVD is a pro-shot, unreleased live performance recorded at The Bottom Line in New York City on September 20, 1992! All of these titles come packaged in mini LP CD style sleeves which are housed in a thick, high quality box set with a slide open drawer. Inside is a certificate of authenticity stating that this is a limited edition box set of 500 copies (!) and is autopgraphed by Steve Hackett himself! If that was not enough, it also includes a mini replica tour book from the early 80s! This is an amazing set of live material and the DVD alone makes it a must purchase for any Steve Hackett fan (or early Genesis for that matter). You may want to note that with the exception of the DVD (which you cannot get anywhere else), these CDs are also available invidually in standard CD versions as part of Steve's Live Archive Series. That being said, they do not compare to the quality of the packaging in this edition! This is a must own!"
