Synopsis

Album Description
Los Angeles has taken its toll on State Shirt, as it has taken its toll on many artists, writers and musicians. It beats you down. It drains your heart. It keeps you still. It's hard to move. It's hard to love. Los Angeles is a dream that never comes true. Emerging from the ashes and debris, the depression subsides and it's time to try again. This time will be different. It has taken six years, but the realization has come to light that the hateful face of Los Angeles is really a disguise. This time will be different. State Shirt has unlocked the door and it's finally time to emerge. It's like being on a new planet. The sun is just a little bit brighter. The sky is just a little bit bluer. State's tattered musical background finally comes together in a swell of intensity. The fear has subsided... at least for now.

CD Reviews

It's short and sweet completely void of filler. Solid Album

(5 out of 5 stars)

"All five tracks on this album are full of concentration and a moderate level of intensity. Every song is thought out, recored well, and mixed with outstanding precision. It's dramatic and full of sound but still very easy on the ears. I find myself listening to it at work as background music just as much as I throw it in the box on a Saturday night of drinking or even just lay back with some headphones and give it a nice listen on a rainy day. It's everything you want from a commercial artist but it also discards everything you don't like about commercial artists. An album seasoned for all seasons."
