CD Reviews

I loved this album of Beatles medleys (and more)

"Hey all you who love the Beatles and everything Beatles related, DO check out "Vol. 1-Greatest Stars on 45" This was never released in the U.S. as far as I know, but it gives you a great medley of Beatles tunes, fading in from one to the next. One of the most exhilirating records I ever owned, now on CD!!! Too cool!!!!"

"This is a great CD, but the one thing that's missing is the radio edit of the single "Stars on 45" that went to #1 on the Billboard charts in the 1980s. That was disappointing. All of these collections/songs on the CD are great, but I really wanted the radio edit- which I understand is impossible to get anymore, because of copyright restrictions on the song "Venus" that was in that radio version. (which in my opinion is simply stupid on the writer/publisher's part- it would keep that very old song in the ears of listeners). Anyway, I recommend the CD, but don't look for the song exactly as you heard it on the radio 25 years ago."
