CD ReviewsFascinating M. Henri De Feraudy | France | 02/25/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is quintessentially Russian music. The style of singing of Lina Mkrtchyan with all the "low notes" may seem overdone to some foreign ears, but this is highly appreciated in the East. The timbre is very crystaline in parts, and the quality of the recording is excellent.
The songs "Russia Adrift" by Sviridov are not so well known in the west, but could well bowl you over one dark night. I hope you will be transported as I was. " |
