CD Reviews

Yeah it's Slipknot... but who the heck is singing??
M. Piotrowski | 06/13/2008
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Of course, because it is a slipknot album and they rock, the album definately has potential... however Corey's INCREDIBLY bad vocals on the album destroy any chance of this being "the greatest live album ever" Do yourself a favor, buy the Disaterpieces DVD.... and you'll see Corey in all his glory, without his voice all messed up.....you want greatest live album ever it's Disaterpieces, not this waste of 20 bucks. His voice is beyond TERRIBLE in the album..... almost to the point where you wonder if they even listened to this before they released it. No lie, it seriously sounds like someone else singing Slipknot songs.....dont waste your time with this, get Disasterpieces...."
The time of the 9 has begun

"You know a lot of the songs are going to sound the same when Corey has to tell you the name of it before they start playing. But as the screaming crowds can attest to, the faithful still know every line and nuance. If you're a casual fan this double disc probably won't interest you. But if you're looking to enjoy your own private concert in your car to the annoyance of those around you, 9.0 Live brings more than enough."
Fantastic

"a great show.. these guys obviously grew up listening to Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Prodigy, and they've mixed these sounds up to be what i would call " a sound i hadn't heard before "... I've been listening to Slipknot since the day i heard them... these guys bring a new meaning to metal, and this live package is absolutely fantastic.. a must have...."
