So, Good!

"If you're looking for a band who's music can stop you in your tracks and remind you WHY you're into heavy metal, this is it. This music can peel the paint off your walls and set it afire. Need a bridge brought down? Just blast this album in it's general direction. This is some of the angriest, hardest, violent music you can get outside of Death Metal. No sissy ballads here, no progressive instrumental lullabies; just sheer, violent angst.

This is one of those bands that you just can't keep track of without some motivation. The lead member, Lauren, has worked with some of the best names in the industry but chose to keep a low profile, very dedicated to the underground scene.

With Drown from the mid 90s I was already hooked, but it took nearly 10yrs for me to find out what else Lauren was doing and that he was still very much active.

Drown had two albums: Hold on to the Hollow and Product of a Two Faced World. Hollow is a very electronic rage machine, after which everything else is blood and sweat. He had some legal issues with the record label and found it very difficult to get started again. In 1997 a group of underground bands, including Drown, created an entity now known as 1605 Records; they can be found on Myspace.

Somewhere along the way, after several experimental bands, SiX was formed. Between the Warning and the War is their third release but only the second album, the first release was an EP named When the Beauty's Gone followed by the first album, The Price of Faith.

One of the side projects I was fortunate enough to get a hold of is self-titled EP Famous. The recording quality is questionable, but the music is just as good as he has ever done.

SiX is worth the effort. But don't tell everyone about it, Lauren might have ditch the band and start anew again if he gets too much exposure."
