Sibelius, best known for his orchestral music, is less known for his more than one hundred pieces for piano. Even less familiar are more than twenty original piano arrangements of his orchestral works! Young Finnish pianist Henri Sigfridsson studied in Helsinki and at the colleges of music in Cologne and Weimar. After receiving awards at several competitions, in 2000 he won Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the renowned Géza Anda Competition in Zurich. Since then, Sigfridsson has been a sought-after soloist throughout Europe and the US.
