CD Reviews

Amazing CD!
David | Chicago | 01/16/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The remixes (and new songs) on this CD are extremely well done. If you're a fan of Shiny Toy Guns, or any of the remix artists, you should definitely get this CD. Boys Noize and Gabriel & Dresden are two of my favorites, but it's really hard to pick favorites on this CD. Even better, it's hard for me to pick out tracks I could do without. The Major Tom cover is slightly out of place among all the remixes, but it's such a good song that I don't care."
Major Tom and a couple other non-album tracks on CD at last!

"I'm pretty amazed at what a great package of electro remixes has been put together here. It's worth the price for the cover of Peter Schilling's Major Tom and the track Rocketship. Of course, to cram this many songs on one CD, they had to give us some edits instead of all the full length club mixes, but even so, there are plenty of those--including 9 minutes of You Are the One! The only short edit I would rather have had in its full length mix is the bimbo jones mix of Rainy Monday. Even so, many of the remixes here pale compare to the simple 80s throwback sounds of the original mixes, but they're still great to have on one CD."
