It's hard to believe that she was only 14 years-old when she released this good debut. I think she has a really good voice. She sounds like she's in her 20's not in her teens. I really can't say any bad things about this album. I think this album should have gotten more promotion so that it could have gotten a greater success. My favorite songs off of this album are: 1. "No 1/2 Steppin'" 2. "Spend Some Time With Me" 3. "He's So Cute" 4. "I'll Bet She's Got A Boyfriend" 5. "The Way You Love Me" (This song should have made her a star). Anyway I really enjoyed this album. It will go down as one of the greatest albums to come out in the 1980's." Solid debut when it came out in 1987 Preston L. I liked "Can You Dance", but I played the very funky "No 1/2 Steppin" the most. That had a very funky groove to it and could have challenged any of Janet Jackson's "Control" album hits! I loved "I Love" and how she held that note for some 15-20 seconds on it. This was a good first effort for her, she sounded strong vocally, they were smart to keep it to her fun teen image, and it set the tone for her later albums on Motown."
