An exceptional musical treasure!

"This is an exceptional musical document. Kempff would make his only appearance in this renowned Festival on July 31, 1958.

The last exponent of the great German Romantic tradition, and owner of an unique poetic expressiveness combined with a huge intellectual approach, became him one of the three greatest pianists of the last century.

Schumann's Fantasy op. 17 was one of his most beloved and performed pieces. Beethoven's six bagatelles op. 126 and Brahms' Sonata op. 5 was the chosen program.

For all of us who hadn't the enormous privilege to watch him, it's more than rewarding to make this dream come true.

Absolutely recommended.
