"Sarah Vaughan's performances of these fabulous standards in jazz and blues are extraordinary. I can tell that these were re-recorded after she has aged gracefully and maturely. Her voice has become more mellow, smokier and deeper. She interprets these songs in her own unique style. I have listened to this CD over and over again. All I can say is this CD is worth to be in your collection. She is so sassy. That is the great Sarah Vaughan. No one can sing like her."

"From Track 1 on, this disc makes it no secret that the plan is to woo you. And I have no strength against it. My favorites are "Sophisticated Lady" and "When Sunny Gets Blue" where the instrumental accompaniment is sparse and therefore allowing for Vaughan's exquisite voice to shine and demonstrate her faultless lower register. "Misty" and "Star Eyes" brag of Sass's balladeering nature. Each songs is packed (around 3-and-a-half minutes each) with inspired and incomparable Jazz and Blues history."
