CD Reviews

THE BOMB!
Skot Jackson | US | 02/08/2000

"Maria, Maria is an absolute favorite. Since the first time I heard it in december, I knew I had to have it, and now I do. This is the greatest song ever! Usually yearly i have a new song every year, but this song is more than just a year song, it's a lifetime song!"
A Legendary Guitar Master...Still At Work!

"I think this song shows the different kinds of music that Senore Santana can make. He sticks with the Latina beat in "Smooth", featuring Rob Thomas, but in this song, "Maria, Maria", he kinda gets to work some rapp into his base of Latina music..... In other words, this song is..... DA BOMB!"
A musical genius and a guitar master--What a treat!

"I was first kinda turned off by this song because I did not understand the meaning of it. I listened to it a wee bit more and the meaning hit me! This is a good song for many reasons. First, is Santana. We all know he is a guitar master. Secondly, is Wyclef Jean. In my opinion, he is a musicial genius. When he does a song, It makes you feel you know what he is talking about. You can find more of his work in various places, but another CD with some of his work is gloria! by Gloria Estefan. The third reason why this CD is wonderful is that it has a true Latin flavor, and not the neo-latinism that surrounds todays "Latin" music. As the title says, this CD is a treat! With a guitar master and a musicial genius, what more can you ask for?"
