"For Sally Oldfield fans, this double CD set will be a good addition, particularly for those (like me) who were unable to find her releases on CD and had to settle with banged up LPs or used cassettes. Not all my favorite songs by Ms. Oldfield are on this anthology (it is missing Path with a Heart, Weaver, The Song of the Bow, and Meet Me in Verona) but it has the best and widest selection of tunes when compared to other Sally Oldfield "best of" CDs - including songs from her later Bronze albums, Playing in the Flame and Strange Day in Berlin. And - a big plus - the liner notes are extensive and informative."

"I absolutely loved this CD. Haven't heard any of Ms Oldfield's music since around 1980 but it sure took me back. Reminded me most definitely of "Water Bearer" which was given to me around 1979. Also reminded me of my first love, whom I am happy to say got in touch with me recently, 23 years later, and asked me whatever happened to that album. We are perfect mirrors in the sun and we brightly shine :)Jill"

"this album has got some my favorite songs by sally oldfield, the key ones from the "water bearer" album. its always nice to sit back after a busy day and listen to the amazing range that ms. oldfield is capable of, and the creative music that she is singing. plus, being a fan of works by j.r.r. tolkien, its nice to hear music based on some of works. i recomend this to anyone with an open mind and imagination."
