Jenks | Cleveland, Ohio | 02/06/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "If anyone knows about Karl Hass's "Adventures in Good Music," you know he periodically features music that is rarelly ever played but is very good ("Rare but Well Done"). That description is very apt for this chaoral work by Saint-Saens, with poetry by Victor Hugo. The music is enchanting, etherial, very beautiful. The French songs that follow are good. The liner notes do not have english translations for the lyrics, but with music this wonderful, there is no need for a translation. This recording is well worth the price."
