"The Swedish Jazz Kings are a group of outstanding musicians playing the Armstrong and Oliver tunes of the twenties. It's not Dixieland, it is pure old time jazz. The bandmen with, amongst others, a trumpet player like Persson who's sound and technique almost reaches Armstrong's, have Roy Williams as a guest player.
Roy, one of the best trombone players of this time,feels well in this environment. His strenght are his solos, often played in the difficult high registers and with an enormous inventivety.
