CD Reviews

Miss Cloney is magnificent
Nikica Gilic | Zagreb, Croatia | 04/18/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Magnificent pop swinger rooted in the swing era, Clooney fares excellently on these two albums;

with Buddy Cole's organ trio (not piano, as it says in the booklet) and with Nelson Riddle's orchestra... Her voice is pleasant and clear, the arrangements equally pleaseant and swinging lightly... Probably not the most jazzy edition in the Lonehill series,

but this two-albums-on-onee-cd edition will spin again in my CD player...

Lovely music.

p.s.

I misspelled the name in the title of my comment, but I don't know really how to correct it, short of deleting the whole darn thing..."
