"they're catchier than elastica, smarter than the donnas, have more talent in their fingernails than any of the teen stars (i.e. britney crapola and christina puke), this album is perfectly produced, they rock like all hell live, and they're all so pin-up cute - what gives? buy this album right now to start the rondelles revolution! they deserve it!"
Worth the cash, but don't expect something groundbreaking

"With the exception of a particularly irritating song (Don't thetwist) this album quite simply...rocks. Infectious pop melodies, smooth sweet vocals, along with riffs that'll be stuck in yr head for weeks. Has a lot of what the Donnas missed: vocals on this are better, the rock anthems aren't as corny, and it's at a good speed. By far, the two top tracks are 'Rediscover Fire' and 'Pay Attention to Me'. It doesn't take a while to get into it, it happens immediately. VERY dancable...you'll be clapping along on the first listen. It might be a revolution-starter that'll be on your top ten (although it's entirely possible) but it's a fun CD packed with originality and sweetness."
They grew up so fast

"The Rondelles' first album, "Fiction Romance, Fast Machines," was great. It was precocious and charming, a fine debut. Somehow, though, "The Fox" blows that debut out of the water.Everything has improved: production, performance and, above all, songwriting. This is a pop masterpiece with no filler. The perfection of the arrangements is stunning by anyone's standards -- and these kids are barely in their 20s. The Rondelles may still be The Cutest Band on Earth, but good luck finding any band who can also rock this hard, and this well. Recommended for everyone. Period."

"i have liked the rondelles ever since i have seen them open up for the tuscadero ladies in '98. i bought their first cd, fiction romance and fast machines. i was pleasantly surprised by how fun and great they are. however, i would feel dissapointed if the next cd was to sound just like their first one. and the good news is that it isnt. its songwriting is more mature, their playing is more solid and in-your-face, and juliet's voice sounds better. it is a great cd with lots of funny lyrics and rocking songs! go get it."
