CD Reviews

A truly outstanding album
Not Quite A Doctor | Redwood City, CA USA | 05/25/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"For many a moon, Rockapella was probably best known for being the singing group on the TV show "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" The band was funny and sounded great on the show, and this album was icing on the cake.Given its priciness, it obviously won't be for everyone. It is a shame that it is out of print as the material really is terrific. "CAPITAL", "Let's Get Away From It All", and the title track are noteworthy, but I'd say that it is very strong through all of the songs. If you like to sing along (or if you have kids who like to sing along), it makes the album even more fun."
Beautiful and wonderfully funny combination of quirky pieces

"This has become my favorite CD. The songs just exude happiness and beautiful harmonies. Among the very best are Indiana, Let's Get Away from it All, and My Home, a magnificent song with the Temptations. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoyed their all too brief appearences on Carmen Sandiago."
Interesting Mix of Just Plain Fun Music
Not Quite A Doctor | 10/22/1998
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I love this album. It's a fun mix of different styles that just makes you feel good. If you enjoyed watching Rockapella on the TV show, this is a good way to get a taste of their other music. I personally liked "Capital" and "Indiana." Of course, you can't forget the contributions of the other artists, a real gem of which is "The Violin," a very strange, galic-sounding story song. And there's the song that everybody buys the album for in the first place, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" (the full version). Highly recomended."
