Description Though it came out in 1958, well after he had left the group, this 14-track LP collects the ethereal-yet-rockin' sides that Clyde McPhatter cut with the Drifters from 1953 to 1954, and, as such, collects some of the greatest doo wop ever recorded. McPhatter's high tenor is, of course, at center stage, but don't overlook the instrumental contributions of saxman Sam "The Man" Taylor and guitarist Jimmy Oliver!
