CD Reviews

Robert Dean Smith

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have been an opera fan for 40 years.
Robert Dean Smith has a remarkably beautiful voice he uses with great artistry. He is at the edge of what is surely to be a fabulous career.
Surely, he is the Parsifal and von Stolzing Wagner dreamt of.
My God, what a singer!"
A Great Young Artist

"This man possesses a remarkably beautiful voice which he uses with great artistry to sing some of the most difficult music in the tenor repertoire. He sings this music with a since of confidence, ease and musicality all to seldom heard. He never allows the difficulties of Wagner's music to take control of his voice. He rather reminds me of Kirsten Flagstad who, even after singing the most daunting of Wagner roles, never seemed even slightly fatigued. She always remained in control of the music.
So too, I think, does Mr. Smith.Behold, the Heldentenor of the new millennium has arrived."
