Disappointing

"A very disappointing effort. Not a memorable song in the bunch. It becomes quite evident that Rob relied very heavily on the talents of his ex-band members. I'm dumbfounded that he quit a Grammy-winning band because he just had to make this record. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this sure answers a lot of questions."

"regarding the expensive coaster review- sounds like sour grapes- this music is wonderful- i believe Mr. Hotchkiss was a very important member of the group "train", the band that you seemed to have enjoyed. Allow him to move on. You know the music is awesome, c'mon admit it."

"Coming from a background in entertainment, being an accomplished musician, producer, and consultant. I was able to retire 2 years ago at the age of 42, I now dedicate my time between a local School for the Arts and those multiples of entertainers I know in the field, yet constantly search all genres of music for artistry noteworthy of my reviews. So as not to be biased on any review, I have had the pleasure of shareing "Midnight Ghost" by Rob Hotchkiss, with several well known artists.

We have come to the same conclusion after listening to the entire cd, as well as visiting the robhotchkiss.com and trainline.com websites...Investigate the background of the group TRAIN, listen to thier years before PRIVATE NATION, and you can well agree that Rob was one of the main driving forces behind this groups success before leaving to a more tranquil place to benifit the music world. There are no battles here.. In fact we hope that all members of any group can step up to the plate and prove thier individual music merits. "Midnight Ghost" is a pure open inspiration to anyone who loves great insight from music. First solo cd, sure. But you could not ask for a more true insight into his lifelong musical influences, and you will immediately be able to see the positive influence in all the discography that he has been involved in. Get this one quick, I'm not sure how many copies are available.being that it is marketed through Mr. Hotchkiss' website.. Very smart move as it will truly reflect how this breakout is recieved..In agreement, we know this is only the beginning of a Whole New World of Musical enjoyment from an artist that has surely paid his dues and supported every project he has been involved with..Be serious, you can't expect everyone to stay on the same train.. There are other modes of transportation in music, and Rob definately has these Jet engines primed and ready while soaring above it all with influential music and messages, yet has the ground support of his family, friends, and those artists, musicians and engineers that feel his overwhelming musical karma. With this breakout, it will be hard to keep his talent out of all facets of the entertainment world... Buy it now...You can not loose on this one.."
