"This is a disappointing CD. I've loved the organ and hymns over the decades, but this is suitable for funerals; not for Easter.
The dynamic range is rather simple, and the voicing (choice of pipes) is uninspiring. My spouse and I kept remarking that everything sounded like it was being played in a minor (~~sad) key.
On a positive note, I can recommend "Hymns on the Crystal Cathedral Organ" played by Frederick Swann.
It breaks my heart to have to give a bad review to published organ music."

"This CD is majestic and very inspiring, any one that walked through the house with this CD playing stopped and listened,I have never seen so visitors just stop and listen, some sang along with it. The 32ft stops played on some of the hymns really stands out, the trumpet of this organ is just fantastic and adds power to already a fantastic organ, It is in my opinon the United States best pipe organ. I play this CD over and over again, and it will be the worlds reference of how hymns should be played.
A fantastic player, a fantasic organ.
