"Wow!!!

This live take by Rique Pantoja is awesome; recorded live at the Gallery Theatre, Hollywood in 2001 is full of the same quality and richness of music that Rique has us used to.

His sextet is absolutely fantastic and they interpret Rique's music perfectly; this sextet is:

Rique Pantoja / Keyboards - Vocals

Ricardo Silveira / Guitars

Steve Tavaglione / Sax - Flute

Joel Taylor / Drums

Jimmy Earl / Bass

and

Cassio Duarte / Percussion

Steve Tavaglione's and Ricardo Silveira's solos are the highlights of the album.

Actually Ricardo's guitar solo on "Loucura" is so sublime, that the bliss of the tune makes the cost of the album insignificant, it blew me away.

Most all of these compositions by Rique are from his 80's albums, but they take on new wings here with fresher arrangements and new twists; my all time favorites "Que Loucura" and "Morena" are awesome, but every single cut in this album is a winner.

Get your copy if you love Brazilian Jazz or any kind of Jazz; Rique Pantoja is a true Keyboard Icon.
