All the right ingredients but lacks the flavour!

"Renegade Creation is a good album made by some of the best musicians in this genre but unfortunately it just doesn't hit the sweet spot. It makes sense that combining the cream of the crop musicians with good production and excellent album artwork would make for some inspired fireworks but instead we get a solid album with no loose ends that just simmers. I like it but I don't love it - there's nothing that makes me want to press repeat. Overall it's a decent blues album that I can only recommend to die hard fans of these musicians or those who really love this style of music. I'm giving it 3.5 stars but I'm still waiting for Mike Landau to do a rock album...."
