The Navy Swings was the name of a series of radio programs broadcast in the 1950s with the object of recruiting young men into the U.S. Navy. It featured the top names in Jazz and the top vocalists of the day. This CD features one of the worlds great jazz veterans who in the 1920s made over 4000 records sometimes under different names. and the excellent singer Marion Morgan best remembered for her recordings with the post WWII band of Harry James.
