CD Reviews

Cliche after cliche

"I tried to give the CD a shot. I bought both of Ray J.'s last two CDs because the singles would hook me every time. I still bump "Sexy Can I" and "Let It Go" from time to time, but I never end up keeping the CDs because after the singles, I'm not feeling the CD. On this CD, I wasn't feeling one song. There were cliches after cliche, and sometimes just flat out stealing lyrics from other folks' songs or recycling his own. I heard "body of a goddess" more times than I can count. The theme of the CD was talking about a woman dancing like she was on a stripper pole, being sexy, partying, and cars. It was like one long stereotypical music video. I was hoping to get at least one track that I was enthusiastic about with lyrics I couldn't pretty much guess. No such luck. The closest I got was the one with his father, but I didn't care for the beat on that one. The beginning track about the girls who tried out for "For the Love of Ray J." wasn't challenging at all. Ray J. can sing all right. He can't blow, but he can carry a tune. But his lyrics insult his talent every time."

"Wow! I am speechless, this is probably the worst album of all time, no joke. I'm so glad that i didnt buy it when i stumbled acrossed it at best buy. Ray J's last album, All I Feel, wasnt bad, it was tolerable at least and there were a few good songs. The same can be said about his third album, Raydiation. But this album, or soundtrack to the pointless reality show i guess, is complete garbage. Please trust me when i tell you to never even think about buying this album, it would be the worst 15 dollars you have ever spent in your life. I just got done listening to this album online, because i was smart enough not to buy it when i saw it at the store, and i honestly feel like my iq dropped. It's really that bad. There isnt a single song on this album thats worth listening to, except the baby maker with a Princish vibe "Sex In Da Rain", which even that song has some very poor lyrics. And the album's opening track, "For The Love Of Ray J", which is the only song on the album that Ray does by himself, is SOOOOO bad, it honestly made me want to cry. I am shocked that any label would ever even contemplate releasing such a horrid album. The production on almost every song is weak at best, the same can be said for all the song's lyrics and vocals. Everything that could have went wrong in the process of recording this album, must have went wrong. And why is almost every artist thats featured on this album a complete nobody or completely irrelivant now. I honestly dont believe Ray J knows this album was released, because i cant see any artist being confident enough to release such a terrible and pointless album. Trust me folks, this album is easily the worst album this year already, and i am 100% confident that this album will still be the worst, BY FAR at the end of year. Sorry Ray, im normally not so harsh, but damn man, what were u thinking???
