William Jones | Rockville, MD USA | 10/01/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "This is not the Charly greatest hits reissue that bears the same name...it is one of Barretto's earlier Fania lps on CD...and one of his better ones, though it is very inconsistent...Rock/Soul tunes like "New York Soul" and "Love Beads" embarrass the listener...that said, Abidjan is a classic...it alone raises the rating by one star...Mi Ritmo Te Llama, Son Con Cuero, and Mirame de Frente sound more like Barretto at his best."
