Synopsis

Product Description
Resurrection marks a major comeback for Los Angeles blues guitar virtuoso Ray Bailey. In the 1990's Ray was heralded as the future face of the blues, but his personal life took a turn for the worse and Bailey put his career on hold. Ray now returns with Producer/bassist Kevin 'Brandino' Brandon and Producer Jonathan Hodges to show the world that he has not lost a step, but rather gained a life. Eleven superb cuts including six original compositions make up this dynamic release. This CD will be the first step in a process that will be dramatically supported by the release of a state of the art documentary film entitled Babe's & Ricky's Inn by filmmaker Ramin Niami. The movie was shot in Hi-Def with digital sound recording and focuses on a legendary Los Angeles blues club with Ray Bailey as one of the featured principle performers.

CD Reviews

Great Blues
Steven L. Wesley | Topeka, KS, US | 03/26/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Heard Ray on the XM Bluesville station and couldn't wait to get to the PC and download it. Good blues and he has a good blues voice. Don't understand the previous reviewer's comments about the album going on and on? These are live sets and if you want FM radio music listen to the radio. Ray can play the strings and makes them talk. Glad I added this to my Blues collection!!"
Ray's Back

"Ray Bailey put out a brilliant record called Satan's Horn in 1995 and then disappeared. This appropriately titled CD is his comeback. It's a great live recording. This will make my Top CDs of 2010 hands down."
