CD Reviews

The songs are good, the CD itself is simply awful
Robert Koehler | Tampa, Florida | 11/25/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"In 1999, Raven-Symoné recorded her sophomore album Undeniable. In contrast to her first album Here's to New Dreams, 13-year-old Raven decided to sing instead of rap, and show off her well-developing vocal abilites. From Then Until is a re-issue of the Undeniable album. The songs themselves are excellent. It's easy to forget that you are listening to the voice of a 13-year-old. Even at such a young age, her voice sounds mature and strong. While there are, of course, the typical cheesy "pre-teen" songs ("Best Friends", "Hip Hoppers"), the majority of the album is simply excellent R&B music.

My reason for giving the album 4 stars is because the album itself was put together very poorly. Being a male fan of Raven-Symoné, the cover of the CD is not appealing at all. In fact, I had to use newer Raven photos to print out my own cover for the album, because it is so atrocious, and meant to appeal only to girls aged 8 to 12. One remix of "With A Child's Heart" that appeared on the original Undeniable album was left off of From Then Until. Only half of the "International House Mix" was put on the From Then Until album, for unknown reasons. As if that isn't enough, there are three unlisted tracks at the end of the album, none of which are performed by Raven-Symoné. While it was nice of the "TMG Music Corporation" to include live performances and videos, the way they are shown is very cheap; loading the disc into your computer shows you a webpage, that plays the three music videos and live performances all together, without letting you jump to a specific video. And finally, the front inlay of the album is full of typos and gramatical errors, giving the appearance that it was written by an 11-year-old.

Because of the rarity and cost of the original Undeniable album, I do recommend this album to any fans of Raven-Symoné, only because the songs are so good. However, if you already own the Undeniable album, don't waste your money on this one, because it is far inferior to the original."
Big Raven Fan, but this stinks!

"I am the BIGGEST Raven-Symone fan. But this CD is so cheap. I've heard that the bonus videos are on YouTube, so when you put this CD in the computer a site opens up. BOOTLEG! Raven is soooo far away from this. It doesnt even support her, so why buy it? Go buy "This Is My Time", thats a great purchase"
Great!

"I really liked this cd! A must buy. But anyways what is up with her eyebrows?"
