CD Reviews

Ralph is great for the child and for the parent.

"Ralph's CDs are great for toddlers age 2 and up. If you are going to try one of his CDs, I'd start with At the Bottom of the Sea first. When first starting to purchase these CDs I found myself wondering if Ralph was inspired to write based on the development of his daughter, Fiona. To me, the earlier CDs seem more appropriate for young ones (ages 2-5) and then they mature musically and lyrically, becoming more sophisticated with each new CD. As a parent, I find his CDs musically varied and pleasing and his witty, intelligent lyrics catch me off guard. Ralph is clearly a smart guy with an ability to make the adult audience relate and chuckle at the humour of his music. For example, "I love my kids, gosh, I love my kids, but what I need is C-O-F-F-E-E." Anyway, trust me and take a risk, and after you have memorized all the tunes, go see him in concert. He's terrific."
Music for kids AND grown-ups

"We received this Ralph's World CD as a gift a year before we became parents, and we ended up buying ALL of his CDs. We are major huge fans because this indeed is music kids AND adults can enjoy. Ralph is so versatile (he's actually a Chicago rocker), so the songs cover a wide range of musical styles, and you'll recognize his clever adaptations of existing songs alongside his original material. We really love this particular CD and give it to new parents regularly--but we also love the original Ralph's World CD as well as Happy Lemons, Peggy's Pie Parlor and Green Gorillas. They're great fun and we never get tired of listening to them."
