'Jog' means 'Yoga' - the union of human spirit and the cosmic spirit. Rag Jog brings out a deep spiritual feeling and on Santoor the effect is so deep that the listener will be instantly elevated to a sublime plane. The Alap, Jod, Jhala sequence sets the mood very effectively. The two compositions set to Rupak and Teen Tal are very brilliant. Certain chords that are struck in the fast tempo are so effective that they will keep echoing in your mind even after the music is over. Personally, this album has helped me to win over very stressful situations. I strongly recommend everyone to try this album. Try out Rag Jog played on flute by Hariprasad Chaurasia too... In fact, you can just go for any album that has Rag Jog in it!HPR"
